This week we had our last school trip as a Reception class where we went to Skelton Grange. Although the weather was not glorious, the children still managed to see some minibeasts. They enjoyed going on a minibeast hunt, pond dipping and tapping their feet on the ground to make the worms come up out of the soil. Some children even held a tiger worm on their hands.
On Thursday we decided to get one of the chicks out to have a hold. The children were very careful and held the chick very well. They all took care and I imagine they are very good with pets at home.
- On Monday and Tuesday Reception will be having their transition day to Year 1. My class have Mrs Duba (in school Mon-Wed) and Mrs Carter (in school Wed-Fri).
Mrs Duba will be with the children on Monday and Tuesday next week during their transition time.
- Please ensure all reading books/ reading records/ library books are returned before the end of this week.
- Please could all children bring a bag with their name on this week in which we can put all of their things in, ready to take home on Friday.
Have a lovely weekend!
